Your will says what happens. A Letter of Wishes explains why.?

The document that gives context to your decisions - and clarity to the people you love.

Letter of Wishes Workshop · 2 hours · £50
📍 In person · Hertfordshire

Most people with a will assume their wishes are clear.

They're not.

Executors are regularly left guessing why certain decisions were made - and families are sometimes left hurt, confused or in conflict as a result.

A Letter of Wishes costs nothing to write. But without one, the people you love are left filling in the blanks at the worst possible time.

Here's what you'll cover in 2 practical, supported hours

Sole trader working at laptop - business planning and continuity workshop

Step-by-step prompts so you leave with notes started and a clear sense of what to write next.

Common mistakes executors see - and how to avoid leaving the same confusion behind.

The Guided Writing Framework - your biggest takeaway

Most people sit down to write a Letter of Wishes and don't know where to start. What do you include? How much detail? What if the decisions are complicated?

The Your Final Matters Guided Writing Framework takes you through it section by section - context for your main decisions, guidance for your executor, personal wishes that go beyond the legal document.

Combined with the prompt sheet, you leave with a clear structure, notes already on paper, and everything you need to complete it in your own time.

Hello! I'm Caro Syson

I'm the founder of Your Final Matters. I created this workshop because I've seen what happens when a will exists but the reasoning behind it doesn't. Executors spend hours second-guessing decisions. Families fall out over things that could have been explained in a paragraph.

A Letter of Wishes is one of the most personal and powerful things you can leave behind. This workshop helps you write it.

Ideally yes but it isn't essential. A Letter of Wishes can sit alongside an existing will or be prepared in advance of having one written. If you don't yet have a will, this workshop will also help you understand what you need to put in place.

No - and that's actually its strength and the beauty of it. Because it isn't a legal document, you can write freely, update it easily, and include personal guidance that a formal will can't accommodate. Your executor isn't legally obliged to follow it, but most do.

This workshop is especially useful for complicated situations - blended families, estranged relatives, unequal gifts. The prompts are designed to help you articulate difficult decisions clearly and compassionately.

No - it's practical, guided support to help you draft your own Letter of Wishes. I'm the affordable first step before the expensive appointments.
